Citing annual GDP growth

Can a country's annual GDP growth data be cited from data provided by that same country? For example, I see that the IMF is cited on this article (albeit out of date), however, if just looking at Signapore's 2024 GDP, public reporting from outlets such as Bloomberg (on Jan. 1, 2025) and others cite a different figure from Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry.
